Kakunaru Ue wa

Yuuki Uehara, a bit of a nerd in high school, has come up with the ultimate romantic comedy heroine—she's shy, a little clueless, and totally innocent. But when a tough editor at his dream publishing house harshly critiques his manga, calling it cliché and unrealistic, Yuuki finds himself in a deep funk. Just when things seem bleak, he crosses paths with his lively and stunning classmate, Niina Miyamoto, who also dreams of becoming a manga artist. Niina has faced similar criticism on her own work, and she suggests a wild idea: why not pretend to be in a relationship? After all, neither of them has any real romantic experience to draw from. However, Niina is nothing like the idealized heroine Yuuki imagined, and he’s definitely not the suave lead from her stories.
